As the warmer March weather arrived, so did the dreaded cluster flies, plaguing us with thousands of them. While these flies may not pose significant health risks to humans, living in a bedroom with a swarm of flies and a constant loud hum is far from pleasant. Imagine finding these annoying insects nesting inside your clothes! It’s like having your wardrobe invaded by tiny, winged squatters.

Every day became a battle as we armed ourselves with our trusty vacuum cleaner, attempting to suck up enough flies to fill a pint glass. It was a never-ending struggle, but we remained determined to conquer the infestation.

Our ambitious goal is to seal every crack and gap in our walls, reducing the number of entry points in each room to zero. However, we soon discovered the magnitude of the task at hand. During our ongoing battle, we managed to identify a couple of wall voids and cracks where we suspect the flies have been hiding throughout the winter. But fear not, we have plans to address these problem areas in the coming weeks.
