We are thrilled to announce that we are finally feeling “toastie”! Why, you ask? Well, it’s because we have just finished installing the plasterboard ceiling in one of our spare rooms.
After much hard work, the plaster boards are up, and let me tell you, the difference it has made is remarkable. With the mineral wool insulation in place, the room is already feeling much cozier. Who would have thought that a simple addition like this could have such a significant impact?
From Exposed Beams to a Cosy Retreat: Fireproof Insulation for Added Safety
Now, you might be wondering about those exposed beams. While they certainly add rustic charm, we understand the importance of safety and security. That’s why we made sure to include fireproof insulation and plasterboard on the ceiling. We want to be prepared in case of a fire, especially considering that we rely on logs for heating our home. Safety first, right? Obviously, we do have smoke & CO2 detectors everywhere to be extra safe.
Speaking of safety, let’s discuss thermal performance. It has always been a top priority for us, but we quickly realized that some insulation options can be quite expensive. However, we didn’t let that discourage us. Instead, we opted for a simple approach, focusing on affordable solutions that still provide excellent insulation.
Spare Room Make-Over – A summer sanctuary
Now, you may be wondering why we dedicated so much time and effort to this particular room. Well, the answer is simple: it’s a spare room that we primarily use during the summer. So, it was important for us to create a comfortable environment without breaking the bank. And thanks to our careful planning and resourcefulness, we’ve achieved just that!
In conclusion, we are overjoyed that we can finally say our ceiling is complete. The room looks amazing, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We hope you enjoyed following along on this journey with us. Stay tuned for more exciting updates as we continue to transform our humble abode into an inviting haven of warmth and charm.
